The Ozark Trail
The Ozark Trail is a long distance multi-use trail being developed in Missouri. Right now, there are about 350 miles of trail complete. Long term plans call for expanding the trail down into Arkansas to connect with the Ozark Highlands Trail for a 700 mile long hiking trail right here in Missouri.
Ozark Trail Association
Founded in 2002, the Ozark Trail Association is dedicated "to develop, maintain, preserve, promote and protect the rugged natural beauty of the Ozark Trail Join us as we continue to make the OT a hiking, biking, and equestrian paradise."
Every year, the OTA holds many maintenance and trail building outings on the Ozark Trail. Everyone is welcome to come on out and help build trail. It doesn't matter if you've been doing it for 10 years or just want to start.
